Aladdin The Musical

Aladdin the musical is set to hit the West End with a fanfare, a fabulous family musical with an exceptional reputation and oodles of excellent reviews from the critics and audiences alike. At one stage the Broadway production even made number eleven in TripAdvisor's list of more than 300 top New York attractions, a serious accolade hinting at a musical that people don't forget in a hurry. Your venue is the Prince Edward theatre and the fun starts from summer 2016.

Everyone loves the Disney movie. Millions of us have sung along to A Whole New World, the show's most popular chart-topping tune. There's a new book by Chad Beguelin of The Wedding Singer fame. The production includes three songs written for the film by Howard Ashman but never used, plus four more by Alan Menken and Chad Beguelin. All of which proves this is a real show-stopper of a family musical. If you're one of the thousands of UK theatregoers who hoped the rumours of a West End transfer were true, it is. Book early!

Worth to see it once!
The show was very good overall. I saw this musical also in Japan. The setting was almost the same and the casts were wonderful. If I had only one thing to say, Genie's act was splendid without a doubt but Jamine and Aladdin voices did not perfectly match. Aladdin voice did not have one of those musical long, stretching sound. But I enjoyed it very much!

Partly spectacular
Though the cast is spectacular (especially the genie) and despite some truly incredible scenes, the production felt a little bit rushed and low key during the other scenes. Nevertheless, this is a show that you should see and you'll have a good time. The actor playing the genie is incredibly talented and you shouldn't miss the show if only to see his scenes !!

An excellent night out
A brilliant show ... comes highly recommended to anyone!

Genifried
Generally entertaining. Just about the right length. Don't expect it to be as comprehensive as the Disney film. No monkey and no parrot as such. Fight scenes are pantomimic, overheard one customer on leaving comparing it with a pantomime rather than a musical.

Aladdin is a GREAT Family Show
This was a great show for the entire family, but for adults it was just ok for me (my wife however totally enjoyed it). The costumes were absolutely terrific, the acting, singing and dancing were marvelous and the story was believable, although I was expecting an "adult" version of the tried and true story of Aladdin.
